The RRECS Mini Mail Survey is to be conducted from September 10-23, 2022. Only Random Letters and Flats, Walking Distances, PARS Labels and recurring Miscellaneous Activity not captured by the automated standards, will be measured or counted. The carrier may gain mail or parcel volume or another parcel pick up and gain time or the opposite may occur. That's the very nature of an evaluated system. This chart compares all individual standards for what we currently have in a normal mail count vs what the new time standards are with the new RRECS system. It also explains the Drive Speed Metrix that calculates the basic drive time on a route.It doesn't matter if the PO thanks a single route will go down or not, it is ALL or none for a September National count. There have NOT been any "mini counts" as of yet so it's not "doing that". Mini counts are AFTER RRECS is implemented. The Data the PO has is from the last mail count of 2018 & scanner data.The failures of management to follow their own rules in the mini-count will eventually be resolved, but there is and has never been a problem with not enough EAS employees (or vacancies to assign others to 204(b) for the duration) to handle this. The solution isn't 'we'll just break the rules.'
